During his years with the Herald Examiner and the Times, Allen Malamud's byline, "Notes on a Scorecard" appeared regularly during the 80's and 90's. When Mike Downey won our game in 1991, I sent a copy of the final standings/report to Mike at the Sports desk of the Los Angeles Times. Mr. Malamud picked up on it and we made his November 12th column. The entire column appears below with the reference to our game hi-lited. Please keep in mind that this appeared during footaball season and at a time when there were two pro football teams in LA, two more than they have now.
